On April 18, PEOPLE confirmed that Sean Murray, star of NCIS, and his wife Carrie James Murray are divorcing after 18 years of marriage. In response to Carrie’s petition for sole physical and joint legal custody of their children Caitlyn, 16, and River, 13, Sean filed for joint physical and legal custody and requested that they both pay their attorney fees, contrary to Carrie’s request for him to cover her fees.
The couple, who met in 2004 and married in November 2005, separated on March 18, 2024. News of their divorce follows their celebration of their 18th wedding anniversary in November 2023. Despite the split, Sean remains dedicated to his role on NCIS, recently celebrating the franchise’s 1,000th episode and expressing his gratitude for being part of the show for 21 years.
